You are a disgrace. Connelly pleaded guilty was sentenced by the Rec of Birmingham & her appeal against sentence was dismissed by the Ct of Appeal. You’re meant to be a Conservative - who upholds our independent judiciary & believes in law & order. You’re none of these things - you’re just fishing for votes in the bottom of the pond. Lucy Connolly finally returns home to her family today. At last. Her punishment was harsher than the sentences handed down for bricks thrown at police or actual rioting. At that time, after Southport, Keir Starmer branded all protesters ‘far-right’ and called for “fast-track prosecutions”. Days later, Lucy was charged with stirring up racial hatred - an offence that doesn’t even require intent to incite violence. Why exactly did the Attorney General think that was in the public interest? Meanwhile, former Labour councillor Ricky Jones called for protestors to have their throats slit. Charged with encouraging violent disorder, he pleaded not guilty and was acquitted by a jury who saw his words as a disgusting remark made in the heat of the moment, not a call to action. Juries are a cornerstone of justice, but we shouldn’t have to rely on them to protect basic freedoms. Protecting people from words should not be given greater weight in law than public safety. If the law does this, then the law itself is broken – and it’s time Parliament looked again at the Public Order Act.

Again you are simply repeating what happened. You are not pointing out why it isn't a problem, why it is "fair" that one went to prison and one did not. I put it to you like this. A metal bar rotted and fell on a worker's head. I say, that is not right. You say, the metal rotted and it fell. I say, ok, but that is still not right. You say, the metal rotted and it fell. Ok, but you are not saying why it is that this rotted metal should have been allowed to be in place, why no checks or balances are in place, why the system failed to identify the rotted bar and why it isn't unfair that this worker suffered injury from the rotted bar. You respond, the metal rotted and it fell. You see the issue here.

It is astonishing that Labour councillor Ricky Jones, who was caught on video calling for throats to be slit, is let off scot free - whereas Lucy Connolly got 31 months prison for posting something no worse. The development of two tier justice is becoming increasingly alarming. It cannot have been a question of uncertain evidence as Jones was on video clearly calling for violence. The government must come forward with plans to ensure justice is handed out equally, regardless of the background or views of the perpetrator - but as far as I can see this Labour government seems to be quite happy with two tier justice.

Help Identify This Scumbag. The guy in the pink shorts watched as his two young sons chased a mother sheep over a cliff near Porth Joke today. When a couple of passers-by objected, he threatened to throw them over the cliff too. Nice chap, bears the legend "Made in England 1989" on the back of his neck. He was seen later outside Trevornick Holiday Park. It was reported to the farmer, local community FB group and police.

I’ve always said that ONLY those who pay income tax & national insurance should be eligible to vote. The rationale for this is that the Gov’s budget comes from taxpayers’ money. So if you want to have a say in how Gov money is spent, you must contribute to that pot of money. Simple.
