But here's what you got wrong: it's not singling you out. I call it 'hawking' — my own term — because as Americans, we're not used to this level of service. The reality is, they do this to everyone. It's meant to acknowledge you as a valued customer and show they want to take care of you. So stop trying to make it a racist thing. It's not about your race. It's about customer service
