For my independent project at uni I'm researching the internet in film. It's led me down a rabbit hole of trashy internet based horror movies. I'm gonna call them netsploitation movies. The moral to all of them is simply "INTERNET BAD N SCARY" Here are some of my favourite finds.

7) Poor Cow (Ken Loach, 1967). My favourite Ken Loach film so far. Unbelievably rich performances from the whole cast, esp Carol White. Completely non-judgmental about its heroine. The best touches though are the tiny glimpses into other stories in the pub and on the street.

Hunger (Steve McQueen, 2008). So bleak and beautifully made. The attention paid to the smallest details (the care of the doctor towards the end) and the horror of the prison. Opening was genius: comfy morning routine of policeman moving to awful conditions for prisoners.
