In honor of Crossing Guard Appreciation Day, the Largo Police Department wants to thank all our wonderful Crossing Guards for all their hard work and commitment to our children's safety. We appreciate all that you do and the vital role that you play in our community!

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Largo Police Department responded to an alarm activation at Largo Middle School. Upon arrival, it was determined that there was no incident and no threat to students or staff, and no injuries were reported.

Heads up, Largo! It's a foggy morning. Please slow down, use your headlights (but avoid high beams), and leave extra space between vehicles. Stay alert and drive safely!

While officers encountered a variety of situations, the primary focus was education. Largo PD Officers provided warnings, shared safety information, and engaged with the community to promote safe and respectful use of our roadways, trails, and sidewalks. (2/2)

Over the weekend, Largo Police Traffic Safety Officers participated in a multiagency E-Bike, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Traffic Safety Detail. (1/2)
