Just back from a fabulous first trip to York - great time sightseeing, thinking about story telling, getting creative writing inspiration and visiting the home of the Brontes.

Fantastic start to the week yesterday @Linlithgow_Acad #YPI showcase. 4 teams gave passionate, creative pitches with strong business cases, making it a tough choice for the judges who deliberated hard before agreeing on the winner! Congratulations to everyone involved.

Say hello to another Penguin vending machine 👋 Secondary-school students at Linlithgow Academy now have access to over 70 different titles from our #LitinColour reading lists, via their new vending machine! Linlithgow Academy was picked from over 800 applications from schools across the UK, and it's hoped the vending machine will contribute to the school’s love of reading by making books more accessible and diversifying the range of titles available 📚✨ The machine is free to use and will be managed by teachers via a token system. A few managed to get their hands on some of her books and @JackieKayPoet was just lovely - taking time to chat to each pupil, answer their questions and sign their books.
