💡 Historic week: Lithuania produced more electricity than it consumed for the first time since 2009. Windy and sunny weather boosted renewable energy production, leading to a total of 231 GWh produced, while consumption was 223 GWh.

☀️🌬 Today in Lithuania, for the 2nd day in a row, more electricity will be produced than consumed, with 90% from renewables. The average wholesale electricity price this week is below 30 EUR/MWh.

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have successfully synchronised their electricity grids with the Continental Europe Synchronous Area (CESA) on 09 February 2025 at 14:05 CET, marking a historic milestone in their journey towards strengthened energy system resilience and integration.

The electricity systems of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania continue to operate independently. As part of the isolated operation test programme, the Baltic system operators are carrying out frequency management tests to assess their ability to ensure grid stability. #BalticSynchro
