There is an organized scam group actively targeting gamers in our community.
Their method is social engineering: joining servers, aping into spaces/clubs, appearing legitimate through real or staged buys, and building trust with gamers before attempting to move them toward a download.
The goal is to get you to install a legitimate version of Minecraft, followed by a malicious mod pack designed to compromise your system.
Some of the individuals involved joined our session today around the 15-minute mark until they were identified and removed around the 28-minute mark.
They are cycling through different Discord accounts, Ape identities, and X accounts to appear credible and avoid detection.
Above all: do not download anything. Verify everything, trust slowly, and stay cautious.
