🥳 Happy 144th birthday, Marquette! Thanks for giving us a place to learn, belong and Be The Difference. 💙💛 🕰️ On this day in 1881, Marquette University was founded as Marquette College. Officially opening its doors on September 5 with just 35 students, Marquette served as both a prep school and college, dedicated to providing education to Milwaukee’s growing immigrant community.
