New year, new BSRA seminar series! Are you joining? Let us know below. Our 1st seminar is from @dweinkove, Chair of BSRA, entitled ‘Meeting the Challenges of Ageing: A Biological Approach' 30th January, 4pm UK time zone Details here - bsra.org.uk/bsra-seminar-s…

Our paper showing C. elegans can be used to study biofilms in vivo. Great collaboration with @EzcurraMarina and her team, and @perfectusbiomed in a project supported by @ukbiofilms Thanks to all at @MagnitudeBio - great use of the WormGazer technology! doi.org/10.3389/fcimb.…

This year’s medicine laureates Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun studied a relatively unassuming 1 mm long roundworm, C. elegans. Despite its small size, C. elegans possesses many specialised cell types such as nerve and muscle cells also found in larger, more complex animals, making it a useful model for investigating how tissues develop and mature in multicellular organisms. Abstract submission deadline extended to 26th March. This is a great opportunity for students and postdocs to present their research!

UK Worm Meeting 2024 registration is now open. Keynotes from Germano Cecere @cecerelab and Marie-Anne Felix. Register and submit abstracts for talks and posters. @GenSocUK @biouea @MagnitudeBio @EMbodyBiosig #UKWORM24 theakaylab.com/?page_id=331
