Maybe I'm naive but I just think the fact that the Doctor is (possibly) the only character on TV who can now be played by literally anyone (of any race/gender) is a beautiful thing that should be celebrated.

It really is such a shame this regeneration sequence shits its pants in the final ten seconds because “It has been an absolute joy” would’ve been such a wonderful line for Doctor Who as we currently know it to go out on.

I maintain that the Capaldi era was kinda doomed when Day of The Doctor dropped. That episode is such a perfect exit point for any casual viewer as it wraps up a seven season long arc for the character rather conclusively.

The general public did not really click with the Capaldi, Whittaker or Gatwa era. It’s not really one person’s fault. It’s just something that’s sadly got worse over time leading to us now where it feels like the public has forgotten Doctor Who.

If that had been written by RTD, the universe would’ve been erased and 11 would’ve sonic’d his way out the Pandorica, gone back in time to convince the alliance he wasn’t responsible for the cracks, gained an ability to bring Amy back from the dead and wiped out the alliance. 4/

The more I think about it…I don’t think Russell wrote Doctor Who this time around any worse as he did in 2005-2009, the show just moved on. He just had less budget, more constraints forcing him to be more creative last time. 1/

I just don't get how anyone could earnestly believe that Chibnall had something to do with the current state the show is in. Like just cause you don't like his episodes doesn't mean he's in any way responsible for what's currently going on.
