I just saw a woman explain why she doesnt do 50/50 on dates and her reasoning gagged me. She said : if i go alone id be paying for my meal, and if go on a date and pay 50/50 id still be paying for my meal so why would i want to get dressed up, spend energy on emotional labor, holding conversations, entertaining my date, if im just gonna pay for my own food anyway? Id rather wear my yoga set and scroll uninterrupted. And couldnt have said that any better!!!

Housing is about $2,450 a month. Food is about $1300 a month. Transportation is about $900 a month. That is $4650 before you see a doctor, fix a tooth, or buy shoes. This is why everything feels like a crisis.

I had to go get a very unpleasant procedure done at the lady doctor. It was one I've had before and I was DREADING it, but...apparently times have changed?? Because not only did they numb the absolute shit out of me, they brought a woman into the room specifically to HOLD MY HAND the whole time. Which somehow helped immensely. Then, when we were done, the doc (who was wonderful) told me to go get myself a treat. As I was leaving, I got on the elevator, and this insanely beautiful woman slipped on just as the doors were closing. And guys, she had a box of donuts. SPRINKLE DONUTS. I have no idea who she was, but she said, "would you like one?" And I said, "I was just instructed to get myself a treat, so YES." It was delicious. Anyway, I think this needs to be the new standard of care. Boatloads of lidocaine, hand-holding, and magical donut fairies in the elevator.

Even worse. “Should’ve gone during break” doesn’t work on a child. Kids aren’t on a schedule like that. Let them use the bathroom. 😡💔

What men don’t understand is…. Nobody cooks for her. Nobody cleans for her. Nobody makes her meals. Nobody does her laundry. Nobody makes sure she’s okay. Nobody caters to her period. A woman is always instantly looked at as someone who needs to take care of everyone.
