Sad to see the shutdown - Minecraft Forum was maybe the first site I ran that seriously exploded in popularity (back in 2010, before we sold it to Curse). Glad it'll still be up in read-only mode, though.

@SeargeDP For clarity, content that was deleted in January 2019 was deleted because we did not receive consent from the author to transfer ownership which is required for EU residents under GDPR. Although it's unfortunate for content to be lost, it was a legal requirement. 1/2

I couldn't care less about the fate of minecraftforum.net after looking at how they treated their users and all the other mistakes they made. All threads I ever wrote there are long gone, since they deleted all content from people who missed the required account migration.

The Minecraft Forum is 9 years old today! If every member of the forum showed up to a birthday party expecting a slice of cake, we would need 2,142,858 buckets of milk and 714,286 eggs (oh, and a Norway-sized venue to house you all). What present are you bringing to the party?

Did you know, if pigs dropped bacon on death (at the same rate as real-life pigs), and if the average Minecraft player kills 10 pigs per day, then enough bacon would be produced to cover the surface of the earth 4.6 times. Per day. Please stop killing pigs, that's too much bacon.
