It’s official. Laila Edwards has made history as the first Black woman to win Olympic gold as a member of the U.S. women’s hockey team. Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald and Maria Taylor were classmates at Centennial HS in Roswell, GA. Tonight, they shared sports’ biggest stage, as Macdonald lifts his first Lombardi Trophy and Taylor becomes the first black woman to host the postgame ceremony in Super Bowl history. 🏆

Congrats to UGA grad Mike Macdonald on his Super Bowl win. 👏 Macdonald has deep ties to Georgia, having attended Centennial HS in Roswell, graduated summa cum laude from UGA, and began his coaching career with the Georgia Bulldogs.
