Interesting to hear Gerrard talk about Anelka and El Hadji Diouf and the decision to sign El Hadji Diouf. I was absolutely fuming at the time of that decision, I'd have lost at least 1000 followers on here if it X was around with my rants about it😂 I loved Anelka, he was brilliant for us and was looked better by the game. And were on the up finishing 2nd in 01/02 We then proceeded to sign El Hadji Diouf basically on the back of one good game against France in the world cup instead of Anelka. That was a disaster of a decision and one of main signings from Summer 2002 which eventually destabilised Houllier tenure and cost him his job finishing 5th that season after being one of the favourites for the Premier League.

Their is big accounts on here that were begging the club to sell Luis Diaz in Summer 2023 to fund a move for Anthony Gordon because of a lack of end product. Diaz went onto have one of the most productive seasons from a LFC winger in Premier League history with 25 goal contributions. But they never forgave him for making them look ridiculous. So when he was been linked to Bayern they were gaslighting you telling you it was the best deal ever for Liverpool, and how Diaz was an old man at 28, most of them were even exaggerating his age saying he was 29 or 30. They told you he wanted to leave and how Gakpo was better anyway both nonsense IMO. They celebrated when we got 75 million for him. Told you he wouldn't be missed. 10 games in that's been shown to be nonsense, we are badly missing Diaz. And they are fuming even more now because he has once again made them look utterly ridiculous with his performances so far for Bayern. You know who they are, and as I said in the Summer selling Diaz and not giving him a new contract was a monumental mistake by the club👍
