It was very nice to welcome our muscle users @HesselAnthony @mikuehn8 @vivekpjani back after two years for @advancedphoton upgrade. BioCAT remains the state-of-art facility for muscle X-ray diffraction.

The @LoyolaChicago announcement that we obtained R1 status (the highest research university classification) used a picture from my lab. You can tell it's from my lab because the microscope is named after a Star Wars character.

Very productive run at @CHESS_user with @vivekpjani and Marcus. We collect patterns from human heart tissue (HFpEF, HFrEF, HCM, SVD) probably for the first time ever there, and more patterns from animal hearts. Looking forward to come back soon!!!

We are glad to share that we got all the beam we expected from the new @advancedphoton into our experimental hutch, ~4 × 10^13 photons/sec at 250um ×250 um unfocused. We expect to welcome users back in the near future after the scientific commissioning.
