@iuditg On the face of it. Yes. I lived there for a couple of year and day to day it feels ridiculously safe. However don’t forget they are surrounded by Islamic countries including the biggest (population wise) in the world. It’s the main reason they have compulsory military service.

I feel the safest country in the world is Singapore. Never seen them getting involved in any kind of fights and wars. They focus on business, and growth, that’s all..

What’s going on in the Middle East confirms to me that Australia should be more European than Europe. We are all over here away from wars and skullduggery. We should be waking up late, long lunching, vibing at the beach and having weekends off but we’ve bought way too much into US hustle culture. If there is a place in the world that should be like Europe it’s Australia.
