I’m not all that troubled by people who feel forced to choose the better of two bad options. That’s life in the real world. What troubles me is when people then incessantly justify, passionately defend, and exuberantly praise that bad option they say they were forced to choose.

Theology 101: I just won’t take “Christian nationalists” seriously until they start insisting on actual Christlike leaders not only in government but also in their churches and ministries.

I've lost my grandmother, grandfather, and uncle who I was very close with, since last April. My wife lost her father, grandfather, and a teenage cousin in the same period. This week was a strange one. So many people not there that always were. Then more people that weren't there because those people are what kept them around at these gatherings. The last couple of years has put so much in perspective. I'm fortunate to get to do what I love, with people that I care about, for a wonderful audience. I'm also very fortunate to still have a lot of family left. I'll definitely never skip any opportunity I have to be around those people. I'll never regret spending that time with them, but I'll definitely regret if I don't. Merry Christmas friends, I hope you all have had a lovely one. Here's to a good 2026.
