I’m now two days into a new job that pays me significantly more than my old job. I still kind of feel like it’s fake, but I’m thrilled it’s not!

Nothing is more frustrating than working a job that requires intense focus, but having zero ability to actually focus.

There are really only two types of people in the world. There are those who love ska music, and those who just haven’t found the right ska music yet.

I’m at a point in my life where there are a lot of options ahead of me, lol funneled by one really not so fun period of time. I don’t know how to feel about any of it, though I’m sure I’ll look back eventually and be happy for it all.

I’ve been gone maybe twenty minutes and I’m already looking through pictures of my cats because I miss them.

Prospect, the movie, is great, but what really blew me away was composer @dlkcaldwell's absolutely mesmerizing work. I want to listen to the soundtrack for as long as I can.

@ErikaSkorstad @nc_editing I haven't tried the disposable ones at all. I put ink cartridges in my first pen, but then I bought a few bottles of ink and converters. It's messy, but the colors are stunning. Worth the effort, in my opinion!

@Nicholas_Edits @nc_editing I'm loving it! Since I'm not used to manually replacing ink, I bought a pack of disposable pens. So much more enjoyable than "regular" pens

Oh wow, I just looked at how many tabs I opened up from links people posted in the chat. It's...intimidating.

This was a great first conference! I learned a lot about a variety of subjects, made some #edibuddies, and wrote more notes than I have since I was in school. Thank you @copyeditors, and all the amazing presenters! Looking forward to next year in San Antonio!

The last session of #ACES2021Online was a lot of information to take in. Inclusive language is an easy goal to strive for, but harder to get right. It's an ongoing process. Thanks so much to @talysatalysa for the information and for giving me an idea of where to start!

Seriously disappointed to see “he or she” presented as “RIGHT” in a presentation of grammar basics by Jennifer Rowe at #ACES2021Online. Thrilled to see the immediate explosion in the attendee chat with support for singular “they” and advocating for inclusive style guides. 1/2
