If you want to break down the politics or feel some type of way about the White House event, I totally understand, but that's not how I'm choosing to view this. To me, this is a celebration of the sport and the fighters. Honestly, it's also a celebration of the UFC, an organization that changed my life. MMA has gone from small-town shows and being banned in multiple states to being showcased on one of the biggest stages imaginable. You can feel however you want about the politics, but this week I'm focused on the fighters, their stories, and how far this sport has come.

But when challenged, his true colors come out — getting defensive with strong language and telling critics to “say that to my face.” His posts are blowing up for obvious reasons. Recovery is important and worth supporting, but using it as a cloak for past crimes while dodging real accountability isn’t redemption. The pardon may keep him out of jail, but it doesn’t erase the sins or the damage. If he truly wants redemption, he should face legal consequences for his actions. Of all the selfish, narcissistic things Trump has done, attending MSG to see the Knicks play in person Monday night is the absolute worst. 20,000 attendees will be MASSIVELY inconvenienced for all the extra security, the Knicks Watch Party at Garden Is canceled, thousands of extra law enforcement officers will be required (paid for by taxpayers), traffic will be a disaster -- all so he can sit in the Garden rather than watch the game on TV. Presidents ought to be willing to sacrifice once in awhile.
