@AGoatSimulator Like “filler” patches are actually just really good for the general setting. And let you focus on faction related stories better such as Janes and Section 6s stories

@AGoatSimulator I think stopping patches like Janes, Astra, and Yanagis was a big mistake for pacing. People complained and called them fillers patches. But making everything tied to Main story plot makes the few good points feel so diluted when you have to spread it out 6 patches. Vs 3 focus

This point makes me think that people with genuine critiques about the ZZZ design direction need to also criticize Hoyo's problem with using high fantasy as a crutch in their writing. ZZZ went from modern fantasy in 1.x to plots indistinguishable from their other games in 2.x.

@avenchurin_twt I miss when the game was urban, with maids, construction workers, police officers, biker gangs, government officials. You can learn a lot about characters with just their designs. Genuinely what are you supposed get from these three

@AGoatSimulator Season 3 has me hopeful tho. Since it seems the focus will shift to tops and more corporate side for villains. Which I just think is where ZZZ is strongest with its stuff

@AGoatSimulator I do get a lot of mixed feelings on Season 2 in general. There is a lot in it I genuinely like. Like Individual patches and stories. But the overall location and main plot felt like a Big miss. Considering the focus was on a cult with Tops in the background somewhat.
