Took a trip to Bunratty today, wondered what the castle was like before it was restored in 1960. This one is from the early 1900's

Fascinating image of the Cathedral graveyard from 1870 in the archives of @NLIreland. The earliest surviving burial records here date from 1700, showing that almost 14,000 burials have taken place within the graveyard since then! #Limerick

@ocallm Roughly 1900. The Castle would have been in a state of disrepair at that time.

This owner of this Georgian house in Limerick , now in use as five apartments, appears to be trying to recreate a 19th century distressed " Tenements " look. & in fairness they're well under way to achieving it !. I wonder what Mr. O Dowd would think?
