@NamiNagisaKawa From the looks of it, this cosplayer did change the hair, I'm not sure how, and that's fine. Regardless however, they don't deserve to be harassed even if they didn't change it. Some people are more sensitive than others, but the amount of racism towards black people is crazy.

@NamiNagisaKawa You can cosplay whoever you want, but you have the liberty to change things so it doesn't offend others. The cosplay isn't offensive, it's just the hair, which has cultural meaning and isn't even suited for that hair type so it's equally damaging.

it's so sad that this cosplayer is getting attacted by those so called "Fans" they're literally saying indirectly "white skined people aren't allowed to cosplay black characters" but those same people would want praise for cosplaying a white character it's sad what the Gachiakuta fandom has become

@donomally_ It's how they (Urana) reacted to the backlash of fans who have every right to be upset if something offend them. It would've have been the same for an Asian, European, Hispanic, or American person in any form of foreign media. If you can't represent them right, don't do it at all

@donomally_ They hate that your speaking the truth. If you want to represent another culture or race, you have to treat the people of said culture or race with respect or else it's offensive even when you don't mean it. The dude nor Urana had no intention of being disrespectful, obviously.

Reality is if you're going to have black characters and black culture in your creation, you're going to attract black fans and you need to learn how to treat those fans and black people in general with respect and listen to their voices

Jabbers hair has cultural meaning, is not just a hair style. Which is why it's looks offensive to mimic it in the first place. Our race is constantly belittled, mocked, and insulted, so we have a right to be offended or sensitive to things involving our culture and history.

I'm tired of non black people (and overly ignorant black people) saying we are overreacting to the low budget cosplayer mimicking jabbers hair and why we are upset with urana for reposting it. It doesn't matter that he does it too all his cosplays, the difference is the meaning

It's so unfortunate that black people are so hated for no reason, we can't even enjoy other cultures or be properly represented without being attacked
