On 28-29 April 2026, 13 Taliban and Indian backed TTP terrorists were killed by Pakistani security forces in two foiled infiltration attempts along Pakistan-Afghanistan Border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. On one hand, the Afghan Taliban repeatedly claim they will take action against the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and insist that Afghan soil will not be used against neighboring countries like Pakistan. On the other hand, they are sending TTP terrorists to Pakistan for terrorism. This is not an isolated incident; it is a glaring example of the Taliban's blatant hypocrisy. The Taliban regime in Kabul loves to play the victim on the international stage. They issue diplomatic statements denying any support for TTP, promise cooperation with Pakistan, and sometimes even claim they are "monitoring" or ready to act against these groups. Yet, TTP leaders like Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud continue to live comfortably in Afghanistan, release high-quality videos from Afghan territory, and openly coordinate attacks on Pakistan. TTP terrorists wear uniforms nearly identical to Taliban forces, train in Afghan safe havens, and enjoy freedom of movement that only a state-protected environment can provide. This pattern exposes the Afghan Taliban as an unreliable actor and a state sponsor of terrorism in all but name. They violated the spirit of the Doha Agreement by harboring groups like TTP and Al Qaeda remnants. International reports, including from the UN, have repeatedly documented how Afghanistan under Taliban rule has become a permissive environment for anti-Pakistan militants. Pakistan has every right to defend itself through targeted operations, as no sovereign nation can tolerate a neighbor providing sanctuary to terrorists who spill blood on its soil. The Taliban's denials ring hollow when the evidence training camps, propaganda videos, leadership presence, and operational coordination is broadcast openly from their territory. In short, the Afghan Taliban are not victims or peace-loving rulers. They are playing a dangerous game: talking peace and action against TTP while actively enabling the very terrorists to destabilize the region. This hypocrisy fuels endless conflict along the border and threatens broader regional security. Until the Taliban genuinely dismantle TTP sanctuaries instead of shielding them, their words will remain worthless propaganda, and Afghanistan will continue to export terror rather than stability.
