I just finished my 12 day one-way road trip from upstate NY to Chico, CA to read this opinion article one of our contributors wrote while I was on the road. It fully reflects my experiences with people across the entire country. There are good people no matter where you go.

Notable cases include astrophysicist Carl Grillmair shot at his home, NASA scientist Frank Maywald with unknown cause of death, missing hiker Monica Reza from NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, missing retired Air Force General William McCaslin, missing Los Alamos engineer Anthony Chavez and administrator Melissa Casise, and MIT researcher Nuno Loureiro shot in his home.

This is why I prefer train travel (the sites are nice too). When a train wrecks there's few to no deaths. You go down in the plane & you have just about the same chance of surviving that as dying in a train wreck. Most train-related deaths are on the tracks, maintenance, etc.

On March 9 I checked the time to see if I should use the next pull-off spot & saw that I was driving into Magdelena, NM at 3:33. Still have NO FUCKING CLUE what it means 😂 All I know is the Roswell crash was somewhere in the vicinity.

@GizmoRazz Yeah I think I brought summer with me because I drove through Texas & apparently it was unseasonably warm when I drove through New Mexico 😂

I can't tell you how happy I am that I got to Chico just in time for the 2nd Maker's Muse. It's bigger than last year & more stuff has been added. I'm actually about to get ready to head down & help finish one of the art installments. I've been having so much fun!

I was so stoked to see this museum driving through Elk City, I just had to stop and check it out 😃

I am so freaking stoked that not only did I get to move to Chico but I got here just in time for Maker's Muse this year & I'm volunteering as a local this year! It'll be a tight couple months but I'm so happy I made it! I have plenty of stuff I want to explore around here 😊

This trip was so much fun! I kept getting off the interstate at just the right places just to find the coolest stuff! I have way more photos coming up including entering Magdelena, NM at 3:33 pm on March 9. This trip couldn't have been planned to be more perfect 😊

I've been having a lot of fun today helping put together one of the interactive sculpture installations today at Maker Radio & Chico Fab Labs getting ready for the Maker's Muse art festival in Chico, CA next weekend March 20 & 21, 2026. Since I've finally arrived to my final destination in Chico, CA I finally have the time to share some awesome things I discovered on my cross-country road trip from central NY! My second night on the road I stopped in Nashville, TN. I was going to have to go through the area so I decided to stop there for the second night to visit with my friend @FiredMyselfShow again. I first met him in person in Pueblo, CO in July 2024 for the Third Eye Carnival at the Blo Back Gallery so I was stoked to be able to meet up with him again. Come to find out the night I was already planning on staying the night in Nashville was the same night as a rescheduled concert for @TheFlooziesDuo and @TooManyZooz that was postponed due the ice storm the Nashville region experienced this winter so Scott invited me to the concert and I had an absolute blast! @DewsNewz was flying in for the concert just as I was driving into Nashville and I watched his plane fly in 😂 He had an extra ticket so I got to go. I loved meeting Rob and their friend I happened to chat with in the parking lot before I even knew who he was before Scott and Rob arrived at @BBowlNashville We were talking in the parking lot about the Nashville parking situation, that's all I'll say 😂 I wish I could remember his name, he was really cool too. I had never listened to The Floozies before the concert but I absolutely loved them and they're now added to my ever-expanding playlist. Their music definitely puts you in a trance and I absolutely love it. I was SUPER stoked to see they were playing with Too Many Zooz because I've actually been wanting to see them live for a few years now and seeing how they're a Brooklyn band playing at Brooklyn Bowl and I was traveling from NYS, the concert just seemed absolutely perfectly timed. I'm already a fan of their music but they are even more amazing live. They don't just play their music, they become their music on stage and that's the kind of vibe I appreciate at a live show. I danced the whole night, which was great after 2 days of driving. The other photos are of a really cool welder's sculpture I found at a rest stop somewhere in Tennessee. I was told by the employee there that where this rest stop is is the Bermuda Triangle of Tennessee. I definitely take his word on it 😂
