Flights of drones around aerodromes are restricted under Air Navigation Order article 94A. Recently, a user had their drone seized whilst flying without permission within the FRZ at #Man Airport and dealt with by police Avoid airports and keep flights within the permitted areas.

@TerryHarrisPix There are already specific offences but under a different piece of legislation and plenty have been prosecuted and currently serving. This is an additional layer to support those other offences.

@Police_CUAS So the criminals that broke the law before the new NFZ’s will absolutely now take notice - again the rules only affect those that already adhere to the law. Pathetic.

@cloudvisual Sadly the issue with a non UK app. Even those that are included, they do not represent the correct coordinates/shape of the FRZ and more importantly, what's set out in UK Law. Always use UK AIP ENR 5.1

@Police_CUAS Flew a drone last week within Duxford's FRZ (authorised), but there is no restriction in place to actually stop anyone with a drone from flying there. A while ago I counted 30+ FRZs which aren't recognised by the DJI Flysafe database, which is extremely concerning.
