Question for those who haven't studied philosophy. What does the phrase "the moral status of animals" appear to refer to, at first glance? Just first thoughts, anything. I ask as I think the jargon of my field is confusing and, perhaps, unhelpful.

No, you won’t. A “memory” is a complex action involving the whole body and portions of the environment. It’s something “performed” —not “replayed” or stored somewhere in the brain.
