INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan is a renowned APC member. His X (formerly Twitter) account from 2022 has surfaced, & he openly supported Tinubu at the last election. His account name was recently changed. Joash Amupitan has locked his X Account. A partisan INEC Chairman has no business presiding over our elections, & he must resign immediately. @joashamupitan was recently changed to @Sundayvibe00. The account is now private. I expect the ADC to take this up immediately.

Only him had used deep poverty to cure problems Fuel queues — gone. because he took fuel drive from 160 to 1400 in just 3 years. Let’s see if your father can afford it let alone queue for it ASUU strikes — gone. He captured the agency, dissolved all bodies, took away educational fundings. Within 3 years, most schools had more than 300% increase in school fees. Poor man dropping from school. Yet no one could speak for them because he destroyed all the agencies that can speak before hitting them with pain State bankruptcies — Worsening. We just kept borrowing more and more WITH NO RESULT. Before, if govt borrows, they’ll try to do something for citizens before stealing the rest. This one steals with impunity. Award 3.3 trillion to power (the same) project 3 times in 3 years with nothing better. Electricity — people now pay more than 300% increase for the same uselessness. An average Nigeria can’t even guarantee a 12 hour electricity in a day. With all the money said to have been pumped in this sector. This is a big shame. Insecurity — Worse than ever before. Now police don’t even interfere in kidnapping again. They just ask you to pay ransom. Private sector exits — Worsened. Almost all companies had exited Nigeria NGX decline — Naira had gone all time low. He took it from about 400 to 1400. More than 300% decrease Food inflation — so bad than a Tiber of yam has to be cut in slices for Nigerians to be able to afford it. I didn’t even know how much of a failure this man is until I realized you didn’t even have anything good he did to campaign. This is the Worst President ever in the history of Nigeria. We all should be angry and ensure he doesn’t see that sit again
Osas@osazenoo

Only he has shown the will to tackle problems that lingered for decades and the results are beginning to speak. Fuel queues — gone. ASUU strikes — gone. State bankruptcies — easing. Subsidy wastage — eliminated. Electricity — being decentralized. Insecurity — state policing in motion. Private sector exits — reversing. NGX decline — stabilizing. Crude oil output — improving. Food inflation — trending downward. It’s not just promises anymore; it’s visible shifts across critical sectors.

You will think Igbos are the only mad people in Nigeria, until you see what Yorùbás will do to election riggers this time around. What am I even saying sef? Edos are far worse than Yorubas, and Hausas are even more militant. The only people that won't react are Ponús from various ethnicities. Today in Abuja, I attended the national convening and launch of the report, “Strengthening the Nexus between Democracy and Economic Growth in Nigeria,” a study by the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The findings challenge us to rethink old assumptions, strengthen institutions, and align democratic processes with sound economic policies. Our path forward is not a choice between democracy and development; they must be mutually reinforcing. A strong democracy must create the conditions for growth, just as inclusive growth must sustain democracy. This is the vision we must pursue at this stage of our national journey. My thanks to senior government officials, development partners, guests and participants for your presence and shared commitment to Nigeria’s progress. -GEJ

Nafiu Bala, a northerner, a Muslim from Gombe State, has come forward declaring a faction within the ADC. What is interesting is how this situation is being handled. No one is linking his actions to his religion. No one is attributing it to northern behavior. No one is profiling his tribe or faith. The conversation has remained where it should be: focused on him as an individual. Now imagine if Bala were from the East. We all know how quickly the narrative would shift. It would no longer be about one man’s actions; it would suddenly become a reflection of an entire region, a tribe, or even a belief system. He has made several claims that many consider untrue, yet no one has tied those statements to his faith or background. And that is the point. In Nigeria, we often choose when to generalize and when to individualize. We decide, depending on who is involved, whether an issue belongs to one person or to an entire group. But fairness should not be selective. If we can treat this case as an individual matter, then that same standard must apply across all regions. A truth… at a time.

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU: The Fallen Soldiers in Benisheikh Are Our Unforgettable Heroes—Urges Nigerians and media  to Stand with the Military President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sadness over the loss of the brave soldiers of the 29 Task Force Brigade, Operation HADIN KAI, who died in a coordinated terrorist attack on their camp in Benisheikh, Borno State. The President also expressed heartfelt condolences to the military and the families of the soldiers, urging them to take heart in the face of the unfortunate loss. The Defence Headquarters confirmed the attack and the tragic loss of lives, which occurred early Thursday, April 9, 2026.  President Tinubu praised the courage and heroism of the soldiers who fought valiantly to repel the terrorists and ensure that Boko Haram could not overrun the communities the soldiers protect. While mourning the death of the gallant soldiers, President Tinubu urged the leadership of the Armed Forces and all soldiers on the frontline not to be discouraged, but to draw strength from the nation’s deep appreciation for their sacrifices. “From the reports I have received, our armed forces have been conducting sustained, intense land and air offensives against the insurgents, neutralising many of their fighters and commanders. The insurgents’ counterattack is a sign of desperation. “I extend my condolences to the families of our gallant soldiers, led by Brigadier-General Oseni Omoh Braimah, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defence of our country today in Borno State. The government will never forget their sacrifices. Their sacrifices will not be in vain. Because of the courage and dedication of our troops on the frontline, our resolve to defeat terrorism and all forms of violence across Nigeria is stronger than ever. “I urge the Military High Command and our troops in all theatres of operation: Do not lose heart, do not be weary, do not be discouraged. Our officers and men should continue to serve with honour, courage, and patriotism. The government will always stand by the Armed Forces, provide more of the equipment needed and ensure the welfare of all who risk their lives for our safety. “I urge Nigerians and the media to continue to support our Military in their relentless battle against insurgency and banditry. We should desist from celebrating or condoning the attacks against our troops. These soldiers are our heroes; unforgettable and irreplaceable. "My condolences also go to the government and people of Borno State. The Federal Government will continue to work with the state government to achieve total victory and lasting peace.  Bayo Onanuga  Special Adviser to the President  (Information and Strategy) April 9, 2026

I like the people around him this time. There were too many charlatans and opportunists around him the last time. I like Esther and that Zekri guy in particular. There’s a level of authenticity that shows in what they do. Most of the other guys just wanted to ride the wave.

Peter Obi doesn’t just take his health seriously, he embodies discipline in every sense. As a Papal Knight, one of the highest honours in the Catholic Church, he remains deeply devoted to his faith, even joining Mass from wherever he is, even the gym. Beyond that, he stays connected to the people, engaging warmly with young Nigerian workers around him, his cheerful presence reflecting both humility and purpose.
