I am the person you see in the photo, and this was the last image of my home before it disappeared under the rubble. For 16 days, I worked alone, lifting stones with my own hands, trying to repair what could be fixed and searching for any space that could protect my family. Even after it was bombed, I held on and tried to live in it, but in the end, it was completely destroyed, as if all my effort meant nothing. Today, we have no home. We are out in the open with nothing. I cannot sleep, constantly thinking about how to secure safety and basic necessities for my family. Every day, the pressure on me grows unbearably, and the conditions around us become harsher. I am responsible for keeping my family alive, but I can no longer do this alone. Hello, my friends, every time I walk around the streets of our neighbourhood there seem to be more animals than ever before, and I can't stop worrying about where they are going to find food. 😿💔 Perhaps you think that they can catch mice or other animals around Gaza to survive, but this isn't safe either.🥺 Because of the lack of sanitation services and the waste that continues to pile up, even the smallest animals like mice are diseased and can make the stray cats and dogs very sick. 😿😭😭 They can spread diseases to us too, my friends, and it happens a lot to children living in tents when the animals are looking for food.⛺️💔💔💔We lived for so long under the same conditions and it keeps me awake sometimes, thinking about how many people are still living like this. 🥺I am looking after as many cats as I can, and the mother's I am taking care of are doing well, but they need food regularly and I just can't keep up with the price of food.
