BREAKING: Details emerge regarding failed talks between the US and Iran as negotiations end with no deal.
Details include:
1. Talks ended because Iran refused to offer a commitment not to develop a nuclear weapon
2. JD Vance says Iran has "chosen to not accept the US' terms"
3. Iran currently has "no plans" for additional talks with the US, per Iran's Fars News
4. Negotiations lasted for 21 hours and marked the first direct talks between the US and Iran since 1979

In West Africa, they might assume she is a foreigner from South America or Coloured from South Africa. They wouldn't know she is Blasian. Most people do not even know Haiti is not in Africa.

@babyKasha @knightly__re Blackness in the Diaspora across the US and Caribbean has involved mixing for centuries. You cannot apply a mono-racial standard from one region to the entire global identity. It ignores the lived reality of millions of people whose Blackness and mixed heritage are inseparable.

@ProFanStan We’re not. My point is black people specifically need to stop claiming every black-biracial as black alone. Fact is most people can tell mixed people apart, but don’t know how to refer yk them when there’s heavy push for them being a specific race.

@babyKasha Apartheid and the one drop rule prove this wasn't created by Black people. Society treats anyone with Black ancestry as Black in terms of systemic bias. Blaming one group for a label that was legally and socially forced on the community for centuries is a huge oversimplification.

@SunshineMJ5 @samiam2003lol Even if he had lived past 50, he likely would've wanted 1-2more in his 50s but not 70s-80s, life was different for him in 2003, by 2009 he was already really stressed from tabloids and cared a lot about keeping the 3 he had safe. He had a total shift in perspective.

@SunshineMJ5 Michael wasn't like his brothers; he didn't seek out romantic partners to start families. More importantly, he was a hands-on dad who valued being present. At 80, he would be too focused on his mortality and the fear of leaving a young child behind to ever start over again.

@babyKasha I think we’re actually on the same side. When they said "these people," they meant the general public, not a specific group. Your point about mixed women being simplified to just Black is exactly what they were frustrated about too. We are all arguing for the same recognition.
