These companies intimately know the risk of their products and they know who is consuming their products. They could and should do more but they simply do not care about anything other than the bottom line.

People love to say this but any time we get even a hint at friction it causes days worth of discourse and the insistence apologies are in order, which then makes players even more resistant to doing it. If any of that old beef happened now we'd never hear the end of it.
