As much as I don't want the TATMR director's cut leak to disseminate further (especially given the circumstances of the leak), I think it's time to accept fait accompli with it. Any attempts by this fandom to suppress the leak have completely backfired. Streisand Effect, much?

Never mind how would Mattel respond... The fandom's response is hilarious. Not sure if anything leaked outside of a few stills but you can NOT get in legal trouble for saying "TATMR DC got leaked lol". Or for drawing attention to the leaker. Publicly sharing, on the other hand...

Very funny April Fools joke... But in all seriousness, I’ve often wondered what it would be like for the Lost Edition to be sold to someone as a blank VHS tape at a thrift shop somewhere. Would they know it’s worth? Would they digitize and upload it? How would Mattel respond?

But above all, only in the Thomas fandom can people complain about wanting something lost, saying it'll never be officially released, and being upset when that very same thing leaks online all at the same time!

@wizoomer95 The fact that Sam has gotten any hate at all with how much work he has done making things happen is just beyond me. I never understand how people in fandoms (but Thomas specifically) are so ENTITLED. Makes me never want to help them again.

And for the record, Mattel has the DC and gets the final word on its release. Various contacts at Sony confirmed they only have the theatrical version archived. For all the hate thrown Sam's way, his DC screenshot is real. Anyone saying otherwise is spreading misinformation.
