I had a convo with a friend who unfortunately plays games with the most miserable af community (DBD, HD2 and so on) and he said something very funny and true regarding the youtuber side of things He notice that most youtuber who just do clickbait title/thumbnail that only post negative things to jab at the game or its community only cares about the money, they will claim they "love" said game and deny that negative videos gets them so much money with way less effort than those who makes worthwhile content with actual production, be it informative, fun and/or with constructive criticism They will latch on to that particular game, deem the game bad because it doesnt cater to them, create a toxic community that discourages newer player from trying the game while shaming those who still enjoy the game, blame everyone else but themselves when the game eventually gets a bad rep and dies, hops to the next game and repeats the cycle because it generates them so much income They will also find a good well made constructive criticism for the game and hijack it to shield themselves from whenever someone calls them out, saying things like "i have this (insert said good criticism) about this game too! See i too care for this game!" And this is how they gather a massive following blinded by this facade that they are in it to help fix the game and not there to generate drama or toxic community so any new half baked hate video will have guarantee clicks And when the game itself is activly trying to be better, they will try to still create some crazy fake scenario or nitpick everything thata still not fixed to rally up their mindless video clicker so they dont forget to hate the game and never play said game again Tl;dr drama "game" youtuber was never here for the love of the game, they just exploit hate videos and are just like a tumor to anykind of game communities
