@JeffKukucka @jduffyrice A quick and dirty search of the NRE data suggests 288 cases that include the word polygraph. Glancing through them, a fair number involve interrogators claiming the suspect lied based on a polygraph and/or ignoring the actual results. No cases of fake devices in my fast search.

@JeffKukucka @jduffyrice If you're looking for cases, I'd recommend searching within false confession cases. Deceptive interrogation tactics will be common in those cases (and are likely to be documented in the reporting and appeals processes). The National Registry of Exonerations tracks such cases.
