Hello to all of Ted's friends & followers. My name is Ralph & I am going to be living with @JohnNicholRAF's family. I know Ted is missed & was hugely loved, but would you mind if I now use this account so you can follow my adventures?

Just finished the latest masterpiece by @JohnNicholRAF Couldn't put it down. We'll get him on the show in a couple of weeks to discuss it.

@clark_aviation @JohnNicholRAF We've rather romanticized the 'Blitz spirit', haven't we? All Vera Lynn and stoicism, conveniently forgetting the terror. Essential corrective, this book.

This weekend, I've mostly been reading 'Blitz' by @JohnNicholRAF...and very good it is too! My mum was machine gunned by Luftwaffe 'raiders', John covers these attacks, as well as the traditional night Blitz and V weapons. Being a civilian at home in WW2 was bloody dangerous too!

@sweirz @JohnNicholRAF The book is rubbish, but I would CERTAINLY like to meet the very lovely Florence. X

A big thank you to @JohnNicholRAF for sending me a signed copy of his wonderful new book, 'Blitz.' I'm looking forward to reading it, although I shall have to wait my turn until Florence has read it. Apparently it comes highly-recommended from @Ralph_Retriever. I know my place.

I am very lucky to have early sight of @JohnNicholRAF’s next book, Blitz. I was meant to wait until half-term to start but I couldn’t wait…and it’s another outstanding insight into a a subject we probably think we know something about but John’s storytelling brings it to life.

My stupid owners still don't understand. I am now waiting in the prime position while she clears up. At some point she will trip over me & drop scraps on the floor! Fellow family dogs - you know what I mean!

My owners have friends around for a barbie. Luckily, some of them don't know the 'don't feed the dog chips & dips from the table' rule, which is why I am sitting next to this lovely chap!

30°c on our patio today & @Ralph_Retriever has been sunbathing in his fur coat. Can't be bothered to cook so it's a chippy tea the 'neet. Am preparing with a refreshing Stella & a rose champagne chaser. Get me! I have forgotten my council estate roots!

Oh good God in Heaven above... my owner has been drinking.

Visiting friends this afternoon & their 12-year-old Lab Betty. She's really lovely but is just NOT interested in having a play-fight with me.

This is what we from 'oop north' call a "picky tea". Ham & Mushroom pizza, Chicken Parmigiana pizza, Crispy duck (don't judge me!) Wedges, Salad Champagne & Stella (don't judge me!) @Ralph_Retriever had gravy & ham on his dinner.

As we go through ever-increasing political, cultural, societal & world turmoil... I suppose we should thank our lucky stars for life's small joys. Like a walk in the wonderful sunshine amidst the cherry blossom. Be more @Ralph_Retriever!

The sun has been shining for my walks today so I stopped for a rest under the Cherry Blossom trees Life is jolly good.
