Cars in SA are overpriced and that’s the problem that began in 2002 when the Rand crash and car prices went up. When the Rand recovered, they refused to reduce their prices and made all sorts of excuses about resale values. At some point a Toyota RunX we were exporting to Australia was cheaper there than it was here. We’re being fleeced. I’m glad that sales volumes for BMW, Audi, Mercedes and VW have plunged.
