@GeminiTayMC @PearlescentMoon Professional Editor here! Yes Macs handle editing so much better then PCs. I would use proxy workflow to speed things up. with that you can then export with the high res but don't have to edit w/it. While running an errand today, I drove past a familiar site... a block full of production vehicles. Grip trucks, makeup and actor trailers, for a couple blocks. And it didn't hit me until a moment ago... what's filming now, in the middle of a long strike?

@MorriganJules In only 20 mins I'd do a brief overview of the gig, what it means to be an assistant, how to protect yourself, and for fun I'd bring one of my binders to show how I organize for myself and my editor. Knowing how to organize paperwork is part of the job but isn't taught any where.

I’d argue a lot of the challenges the entertainment business is facing are self-created by the studios and streaming companies, so maybe they need to actually pay the people who make them money. Pay the crews, too.
