I was just hanging my washing outside because it’s blowing a hooey out there, my hands freezing, then I brought it back in, it was actually snowing briefly here 🙀🥶
@TristanCorkPost@tiger8lotus@travelWESTeng If you have the time and route, there will be driver monitoring software that'll give time and location and ID the driver too.
On a First bus this morning, the driver emergency stopped. A few passengers fell, Inc myself, from seat onto floor. Driver shouted ru okay. But with many standing, any reply not heard. Who can we report this to? @TristanCorkPost
When Labour said they were “relaxing planning laws”… they clearly meant it.
Because what is THIS?!
A complete monstrosity dropped right on top of people’s homes no proper consultation, no consideration, no common sense.
@MumbrianSpinner I had a Lipoma removed back in August and got in on a cancellation and only had a weeks notice. Phone call 11am Monday morning for 7am the next Monday and 5 weeks recovering.
I got a call from the hospital on Friday asking if I could go in this Wednesday for the op. It wasn't possible, but I only have 2½ weeks to go.
Both excited to get it done and a bit apprehensive now.
@knittykittywool I did some googling for my Grandparents on how to get the letter from the Queen for their 60th, you get the smae letter for 70th too instead of 75th as not many couples reached 75th anniversary. Grandfather got a card from the Queen on his 100th birthday too.
“Doesn’t make any diff to me mate as my Ab is parked up IN AB BAY for embargo- thing is now you’ve parked there no OTHER abs can park for embargo”
Shrugs shoulders and mutters “That’s his problem”🙈🙈🙄
@MamaMoose_Be TBH rarely I use the train for long distances, looked at going to Dunfirmline from Bristol last year but £500 for the pair of us compared to £200 flying to Edinburgh and another £60 geting to and from the airports makes sense.
@Redveee I have done both and both work incredibly well. You’ll be able to claim delay repay now on third parties too! With us I had two tickets, 2nd class and upgrade via seatfrog. Lner handled both
@MamaMoose_Be I wasn't really aware of delay repay as most of my trains had been within the ontime timeframe, then I caught a train to Cardiff when the rugby was on and got delayed by 20 mins within site of the station and I'd bought my ticket through the service operator not Trainline.
@CB_cycles All you can eat places are bad, you go in with the best intentions of little portions but that soon goes out of the window. A place in Bristol does jelly beans and on one visit me and the OH 3/4 emptied the container, approx 3kg of jelly beans. We got our monies worth that night.
@modernheroestv Our local bus service (X4 from Bristol to Portishead) uses those Yutong electric buses. They are really nice. Modern, comfortable, silent and have USB charging ports, way better than the crappy diesel buses they used to use.
On an electric bus for the first time going to fetch Ami from its current hiding place
How can anyone experience this and think “nah I’d rather the rattly old diesel”?
Wonderful to read that the @OfficialWRC will return to Britain next year with an event based in Scotland. I actually competed in the Scottish rally many years ago and they've got some fantastic gravel stages up there.
