@bluesinthe93266 Just talked to two of my boys from up North. They’re on opposite sides of CAN (had a couple beers, can’t remember the names of the provinces) All three of us separate back grounds but exactly the same issues.

Basically what they don’t tell you about birds of prey especially eagles is that they imprint so quickly on people who rescue them, they get obsessed with their rescuer. This eagle was one of those. Also fun fact Dolly Parton paid for this eagle’s salvation.

@JetherBlaise @UTDKarra Oh. Thats interesting. We need to "fight" each other and a competitive sport does a decent job substituting in for a real fight.

🚨Breaking: NBA, basketball, and American football fans in the USA are in disbelief at how massive football is. The viewing numbers for this World Cup are absolutely JAW-DROPPING. The opening match was reportedly watched by 1.2 BILLION viewers worldwide, with 18 million watching on Fox sports and Telemundo in across the USA So many Americans have never seen anything like this before. Kids are asking their parents if they can switch sports, while new fans are asking: “Why do so many people love football?” “Why do fans spend thousands just to watch their country play?” According to reports, this World Cup could break the record for the highest attendance ever.

No wonder you think the United States is a shit hole you lived in Los Angeles. That’s the crappy part about being in one of the largest countries in the world. Everybody looks at the United States and thinks everything is just like NYC and LA. Newsflash for people visiting for the World Cup. The majority of the country is nothing like LA and NYC. Those are the parts of America that y’all hate and don’t worry, the rest of Americans hate those parts too. Hope this helps. 😎

Maybe this is a hot take but as someone who lived in the US for 4 years before moving home to Norway, I think the US is a great country to visit, not to live in. You get all the benefits of how grand the experiences are in culture, weather, nature, food, sports etc but you don’t have to worry about healthcare, overpaid housing, taxes that fund wars instead of your well-being and a lacking infrastructure. I understand it’s a big country and I only lived in Los Angeles (which is worse than most other American cities) but you only need one small medical issue to realize how messed up the system is. Also Trump.

Possibly, if you worked your career centered on networking and access. Almost polar opposites in values and traditional goals though. You don’t have to work harder to become ‘someone’ in Indiana. Reality is, not many want to. A lot prefer to be left alone to their real goals. Food, family, financial security and firearms to protect it all. Couldn’t ask for much of a better existence than that. To each their own though.

@BillWiIdin It would take a lot more work to become someone in Indiana, not nearly as much in Ohio but if you play your cards right California will grow you into something great if you have the drive and brains.

The midwest has infinitely better food, lower cost of living, and nicer people than the coast cities. People in New York and LA pay $4,000 a month to live in a shoebox surrounded by trash and noise. Meanwhile, you can get a beautiful four-bedroom house in Ohio or Indiana for a fraction of that price. Coastal elitism is a joke because your quality of life is actually miserable compared to middle America. Stop pretending that living near an expensive beach makes up for being permanently broke.

This was spot on the best post of the day. We have been separated so much by propaganda— once you see through it your life is forever changed. Europe is a beautiful continent. The United States is a beautiful country. And we don’t want our politicians ruining it.
Da Dad@RogueLeaderLA

What the World Cup has shown us so far: Propaganda has worked immensely. Americans are taught that our country is nothing special. Europeans are taught that America is a horrible country. Europeans visiting are reminding us that none of it is true.

The older many neurodivergent people get, the less interested they become in appearing normal. Not because they've given up. Because they're tired of performing. There is a freedom that comes from realizing: You don't need to earn your right to exist by making other people comfortable. You don't have to justify every quirk. Every need. Every accommodation. You are allowed to build a life around how your brain actually works instead of spending your life apologizing for it.
