Was humbled by @RunMillinocket (X) 26.2’s Golden Road.
It’s unpaved, uphill, blows Mt. Katahdin headwinds at you, & is 1/2 the race.
And the race is a double loop.
So, it’s the 1st 1/4 of the race, then stumble out of it, race back to the #Start, repeat.

Yesterday 🌴 Today ❄️ Didn’t get in to BGR till 2 am. Adductor strength before last long run in the training schedule for the @RunMillinocket . Weather looks brutal with feels like temps 🥶I’ll be on the course for possibly more than 3 hours so I’m strategizing about layers. #ifnanacandoit

the coolest thing about running an ultra marathon is coming to an aid station, then ask for a shot of fireball to mask the pain in your legs & the volunteer will be like:
“how about 2 shots of fireball?”

When we saw @newbalance reinvesting in their commitment to Maine through their Skowhegan footprint, we reached out and asked them to support our Running Club — and to help us outfit nearly 30 runners to take part in @RunMillinocket this year.
