Last night I attended two flooding incidents due to an extreme weather event over Church Stretton and Wellington. A huge thank you to crews and @SFRS_Control for their excellent response and compassion to their communities. An effective multi agency response. @ShropshireStar

We are receiving a number of calls regarding a fire on the Long Mynd, Church Stretton - this is a controlled burn which we are aware of.

Amber Watch alerted along with @SFRS_Wellington & @SFRS_Wenlock at 09:25 to reports of an animal rescue at a farm in the Bridgnorth area. On arrival, 1x 25yr old horse was found on his side inside a stable. This made access quite difficult but crews managed to get the...1/2
