Just generally on this trip, I've been mortified by the indifference and inattention of people moving through public spaces.

Side note to the passengers - you kind of suck morally if you see a disabled person struggling to move through the train with their assistive device that barely fits down the aisle and you don't move or offer to move from the seats that are clearly reserved for disabled people?!?

Hey @amtrakcascades it was pretty uncool of your conductor at SEA for train 517 to Portland to make me move from an accessible seat because I was "in the wrong car." There are no accessible seats the next two cars down.

If you want to try something new this Thanksgiving, start practicing those recipes now. Don’t wait until Thanksgiving. Don’t do your people like that. I say this as an overachiever who often cooks Thanksgiving dinner and wants to try a new stuffed mushroom recipe for appetizers.

Everyone, at some point, will either need, receive, or provide care. Whether childcare, aging care, or disability care, CARE affects everyone — & the fact that care is seen as an individual issue & not an economic necessity is wild. (+ care workers are underpaid and overworked.)
