A great 2 days @JuniperRidgeNL teaching grade 5 and 6 students before they finish for the summer the importance of Campfire 🔥 Safety and Lithium-ion Battery🔋 Safety. Shout-out to the teachers who donned @TorbayFire bunker gear for their classes. Have a very safe summer!!🌞

Grade 8 Fun Day @JuniperRidgeNL

Tomorrow @JuniperRidgeNL we kick off our last Spirit Week of the school year. Tomorrow is Adam Sandler Day & there will be Adam Sandler Trivia during Junior High lunch in room 203!

Grade 8’s @JuniperRidgeNL started building their own plant and animal cell models today. The room may have gotten quite messy but the fun they had while designing their models made it worth it.

To end off La Semaine de la Francophonie @JuniperRidgeNL students displayed their French monument designs that were part of a design/build challenge throughout the week.

@JuniperRidgeNL will be celebrating La Semaine de la Francophonie a little later this year! Here’s what fun activities to expect next week:

Students @JuniperRidgeNL also had the opportunity to be guided through the design & construction of a traditional mummers hobby horse with members of Heritage NL and the Mummers Festival. They each walked away with their own hobby horse!

Thank you @mmelee5 for coming by today and offering 2 awesome sessions for students @JuniperRidgeNL students were completely engaged in both the felting & coding an arcade game workshops!

Shout out to @HthCouncil for coming over to @JuniperRidgeNL to share about life @hthtigers with our Grade 8 students today! It was great to see you all again & reconnect.

Thank you @SucSeedCanada for coming to @JuniperRidgeNL. Students planted some microgreens and learned about types of farming, how to grow at home and how far their food travels.

@lts_mun came by @JuniperRidgeNL today to teach students about DNA extraction!

Students @JuniperRidgeNL had the chance to connect with our Guidance Counsellors today to learn some study skills and ways to cope with stress. They also had St.John ambulance therapy dogs stop by ❤️

Ms Gallivan’s Science of Ice Cream session @JuniperRidgeNL was a huge hit today.
