Dear God, Good morning! Today, I’m seeking You even more. I’m pursuing Your presence, Your guidance, Your wisdom... things that are meaningful and fulfilling. Please fill my heart with peace, joy, and an unwavering faith that believes in you for all things. Lead me step by step, and let every action I take draw me nearer to You and the blessings You’ve already prepared for me. I don’t need all the answers, I just need You. Fill me with the holy spirit and draw me into more intimacy with you! In Jesus Name, Amen 🙏 “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” - 1 John 5:11-12

The kids are more than alright, they're extraordinary. And, incredibly, the bus driver has made a 100% full recovery. Last Wednesday, on a seemingly ordinary day in Mississippi, a school bus driver suffered a severe asthma attack. She blacked out behind the wheel. The bus loaded with 40 children, was hurtling down a busy four-lane highway. Disaster felt inevitable. But instead of chaos, these kids showed grit and unshakable courage. Five middle schoolers immediately sprang into action in a scene straight out of an edge-of-your-seat thriller. A 12-year-old seized the wheel, steering the bus away from catastrophe. Another kid slammed on the air brakes, grinding the bus to a halt in the median, averting disaster. One student dialed 911 with trembling fingers but an unshakable resolve. Meanwhile, another hero-in-training searched for the driver’s nebulizer and personally administered her life-saving medication. None of these kids waited for an adult to save the day. They became the adults right then, right there.

You check your Apple Watch in the morning. Sleep score: 62. You decide it's going to be a foggy day. And then it is. A 2014 Colorado College study suggests the score itself causes the fog. 164 people walked into a lab. Researchers hooked them up to fake EEG equipment and told them the readout would show their REM percentage from the night before. Then they fabricated a number. Half the room was told 28.7%. Half was told 16.2%. The machine wasn't measuring anything. Participants took four cognitive tests. The Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test, where you add numbers spoken at increasing speed and hold your last sum in working memory while computing the next. And the Controlled Oral Word Association Task, where you generate as many words as you can starting with a single letter under time pressure. Both are gold-standard measures of attention and executive function used in clinical neurology. The 28.7% group outperformed the 16.2% group on both. Significantly. How rested participants actually felt that morning predicted nothing. The mechanism is mindset priming an executive resource. When you believe you slept well, you allocate cognitive effort more aggressively. You don't conserve. You don't pre-disengage. Belief about the resource changes how you spend it. Two control conditions ruled out demand characteristics. Participants weren't trying harder because they thought they should. Real measurable cognitive performance shifted with the number on the readout. The Apple Watch sleep score. The Oura ring readiness number. The morning ritual of checking either one is taxing the resource you're about to need. The performance gap from a fabricated REM percentage was larger than the gap from how rested participants actually felt. The number was louder than the night.

Embracing the boredom of consistency is the key to greatness! Dreams don’t fail because people lack talent, resources, or potential. They fail because consistency feels ordinary, and ordinary is where most people quit. The real separation is not between the gifted and the ungifted-it is between the committed and the distracted. Anyone can get excited at the beginning. Anyone can set goals, make plans, and start strong. But the people who grow, win, and become dependable over time are the ones who learn to honor the boring days, the unseen work, and the repeated basics. Consistency is a character test. It asks, “Will you keep showing up when nobody is applauding?” It asks, “Will you trust the process when progress feels slow?” That is where trust, discipline, and maturity are built. Greatness is usually not one dramatic moment. It is hundreds of small decisions made correctly over and over again. So if you want to taste greatness, don’t just chase the highlight. Learn to love the the boredom of consistency...that's where greatness lives.

If you spend time with positive people you’ll be more positive...their traits will rub off on you. If you spend time with negative people you’ll be more negative...their traits will rub off on you. Simple... choose wisely.
