@PeteSofinski @ThatEricAlper Yep...my minor obsession with the Nerves led me to Paul Collin's Beat and The Plimsouls. Jack Lee wrote several popular songs that were covered by other artists including "Come Back and Stay" (Paul Young) Great musicians, all of them.

@ArbiterofCool Agree one hundred percent. Relatively speaking, Harris's campaign was hugely successful despite only having a three-month runway. Imagine what she could have done with a whole year?

Joe Biden came out of retirement to defeat Donald Trump... not to defeat Donald Trump TWICE. He should've governed as a one-term "save US" POTUS. The entire narrative would've been different from the start. Then... a successor, possibly VP Harris, would've gone through the process and also had more time to brand their future presidency. The Democrats easily win in this scenario. I know it's Monday morning QB'ing and doesn't change anything... but it's distressing because the Trump-owned Republicans took advantage of the situation and controlled the country's Reality TV/social media/water cooler story-telling. President Biden has done a good job overall, just not in getting the word out to the average non-political American. Governing as a one-termer would've been viewed as HEROIC.
