@amojp616aa Jake has been very honest about the fact he can't be trusted. It's not as easy to manipulate people when they know you have designs on their throne. It's way easier to whisper things in people's ears when they think you're just acting a fool for the Prince's entertainment.

I've been waiting patiently - and sometimes in fear - for Shota's win over Takeshita to come into play. I'm happy this is the way it's happening.

@cultofthehll Yeah, it works really well and makes them feel less removed from the rest of the company. Plus, it must help to have mentor figures like Goto, Yoshi-Hashi, and Taichi there during your matches. Also allows for swift integration OR rivalries when they return from excursion.

@SmarkInfested They get to keep the YL traditions of old while looking at what's very much working in STARDOM with their rookies and how almost immediately the attachments with the senior members are made. A nice middle ground as this class have TON of personality

NJPW seems to have changed how they approach Young Lions. Ever since I've been watching YL's have been nondescript and part of Hontai, nothing more, and they only became something after excursion. Now they all get adopted into factions or by respected seniors pretty quickly.

@Xaviiism I get that, but you didn't have to have it be Yujiro in Niigata, surely? You knew this was going to happen the moment you picked him. Especially as a surprise X. As much as I preferred Yujiro, Chase WAS an option. So is this fine now?

@JonXavierWIN Henare had a spell where he made a lot of openly misogynistic content and he is still very into hyper masculinity, to the point where he even wrote a book on it. He makes me uncomfortable.

@morningpuroresu @MayhemSkully I'm not saying to avoid osaka, obviously. But was it necessary to have the big moment there? It undid a lot of good will the tag team (matches) garnered by making the conversation about the fans hating him again.

@SmarkInfested @MayhemSkully They gave him a great opportunity to impress in Osaka in a lower position than he's been shoved into historically. You're not going to get him past this by avoiding Osaka. It's gonna be a slow build of over-expectations.

This match was great. Like not “these guys have already been great, why are we only saying it now” great, like “they made that actual leap they hadn’t yet” great. And that’s fine.
