Bubba has excellent “stuff” his control however remains the main concern.
We’ve seen he has had a really nice 57% and 52% zone rate the last 2 games and is facing a Rangers team with a top-3 Swing-strike% in the MLB. No brainer here.
TX has a balanced mix of LH/RH K targets throughout their lineup which profiles nicely for Chandler who has solid splits vs both dating back to last season.
7/9 projected ABs in the lineup have O a 20% K rate vs RHP.
Books have his POs (-110) o 15.5 which should be more than enough of a leash to get us 5+ Ks.
I’ll trust Chandler to be effective against a lineup he’s never faced prior🔐

Books have his PO’s (-170) o 14.5.
Expecting his leash to be around 90-100 pitches against a mediocre BOS lineup that he’s had a ton of prior success off of.
This lineup has the 10th MOST Ks vs RHP, and 7/9 projected hitters have O a 20% K rate to opposing RHP.
At +money I’ll gladly take a stab as I like buying in with Gill in the best K matchup he’s faced thus far.

Grant played 19 minutes in the play in game against PHX, he also closed that game which was very nice to see.
Foul trouble last game/mins restriction has his minutes lower off the bench, but I think matchup wise POR will need to play him more as guys like Sharpe/Scoot don’t have as much defensive upside v SAS. Also if Clingan struggles with Wemby we could see POR go ultra small with Deni at the small ball 5 which gives Grant a path to even more minutes as a spacer.
I see Grant playing 23-28 minutes in this one. O in 75% of games w 20-28 mins this season, including a 13 point game where Grant shot 5/17 v the Spurs.
Not going to overthink this one, I’ve read POR well this season and I think this narrative is heavily undervalued.
