Supposedly, Yan Yikuan is a default model for many game characters in China since he’s regarded as the Chinese beauty standard for men. He is indeed very handsome, so the fact that Caleb himself was modelled after Yan Yikuan suggests that a lot of work went into his design and he was never meant to stay as a background character with a design like that. The entire facial structure is modeled after this actor with just a few slight tweakments that are unique to Caleb’s character.

@thelazyladycat #Qimin of the current timeline died in prison. His white hair is because of his ill health and medication taken for a long time. In an alternate timeline where the rebellion and East Palace fire did not happen #齐旻 grew up happy and healthy, so he is not mad and has black hair.
