Self-righteous agents defend their truth and manipulate others to follow. Self-effacing agents doubt their truth and expect others to control. Self-differentiating agents know their truth and invite others to collaborate. #SelfDifferentiation

I consider an intimate relationship with Jesus the most reliable way to achieve that level of self-sacrificing security, but I'd love to learn about other practices people find helpful in making that shift.

In particular, I believe the hardest part of self-differentiation is shifting from the implicit "what do I need from others to feel safe" to an explicit "what do they need from me to become healthier."
