@McDonalds I’ve used the Double cheeseburger or 6 piece nugget get a 2nd one for .29 center deal for months to buy two double cheeseburgers. Today the same store I always go to tells me it only works with one chicken nugget and one sandwich. Manager confirmed. What happened?

People use wheelchairs for independent mobility. Do not write "confined to a wheelchair" or "wheelchair-bound." Say a person uses a wheelchair only if relevant to the story.

Neighbor to me, a wheelchair user:”I don’t like the word disabled. It’s too negative.
What do you call yourself?”
Me:”Disabled.”
Neighbor:”You’re not disabled. I refuse to use that word.”
Nondisabled people don’t get a vote on what disabled people choose to call ourselves.

Don't use words that suggest pity, such as afflicted with, battling or suffers from any disability or illness, or that a person overcame her disability.
Instead: living with dementia, has cancer, being treated for ADHD, etc.

Going back to normal is not positive for most of us. Disabled people will have to go back and fight for those same accommodations that was easily given last year to abled bodied people. Mostly will get denied.

Reminder that disabled people are not included in most building evacuation plans. I'm glad that there was one exception to that rule this time -- but it is the exception. Most of us aren't US Senators?

let the record show that i avoided crying today until sen. tammy duckworth, who uses a wheelchair, said "i am safe but i was worried for a minute because i use a wheelchair and it's harder to get me safe"

fat acceptance has never been abt "promoting an unhealthy lifestyle" its about treating people with respect no matter what they look like and what their health is like bc a fat persons health is none of your business and it does not justify you treating them like theyre not human

The correct term is sexual orientation. "Sexual preference" is a term often used by anti-LGBTQ activists to imply that sexual orientation is a choice.
