Tradeoff is that medical research is an arena where the public appears to desire high levels of regulation, protection, auditing, privacy, etc.

@ollie_rando @CorcesVictor There's a series of (dubious?) papers on "sperm mediated gene transfer." For example: Cell 1989 doi: 10.1016/0092-8674(89)90787-3. Wonder if fragments of epididymal DNA carried by sperm ever integrate into fertilized egg?

1/ Of course we didn't use DTT. It makes no sense to try to analyze the state of chromatin by first destroying it with DTT. You are contaminating the sperm with DNA from the epididymis by mincing the tissue, which we don't do.
